Prayer Requests and Praise Reports 8/16/09

Prayer Requests:

  • Steve and Natasha Barfield
  • Pam Davis- fighting cancer
  • Johnny Hayes- Lost job, has health issues
  • Cranston Cox- just beat prostate cancer- now has lung cancer
  • Graebers
  • Livelys- unspoken
  • West Jasper Elem.- search for a new principal
  • Audrey- my meemaw (Mildred Wallace) 92 yrs old, in hospital...doesn't look like she has much longer. One of her sons seems to be resistent to accepting this- pray for peace and unity in the family.
  • Audrey and her sister- had one of our very rare "heart to hearts" and it was not fun!
  • Keri Renfroe- went to high school with Audrey- in UAB 36 years old had a massive heart attack. Trying to stabilize her enough to do a heart transplant- 2 small kids- great Christian family
  • Kerry's mom is having surgery Tuesday
  • Michelle Crowley's family- today would be her birthday
  • Ericalyn's 91 year old grandfather is having lots of falls and most recent resulted in a black eye
  • Jennifer Meyers- last week at bank. Still lots of changes going on....trying to train tellers
  • Childcare- pray for wisdom and let God's will be done continually
  • Cook- unspoken
  • Economy- pray for stabilization- ex. Colonial Bank- FDIC took over and has affected people
  • Please continue to pray for my dad-his hip/pelvis is still broken. It is healing well, but he still has a long way to go.
  • Marc's mom, Brenda Rollins, haviong to go back to the hospital to have her kne popped. She cannot bend her knee at all from her knee replacement surgery. This will put her back. Please pray she will have a quick recovery!
  • Tracie, Lauren, & Nathen- Lauren's homeschooling
  • Jeannie's friend

Praise Reports:

  • 1st week of school went really well!
  • God gave Audrey a rare open door to lay everything out in front of her sister again.
  • Great start to the school year!
  • Wonderful classes at school!
  • My dad, Jerry Jones, TOTALLY off the trach! He stood up yesterday and he is eating solid foods. He is doing so well! The accident has brought my dad and stepmom much closer- before it they were talking about divorce- makes you wonder if God had another plan all along.
