Update and praise

Hey everyone-
I just got an email from Leigh Evans, my friend whose niece we prayed for yesterday (Ava Cordell). She said I could share it with you all. Isn't God great!

Good morning!! First, let me say, "Thank you so much!" for the prayers for my family. My step-dad is home resting. He is tired and still sore but doing well.As for my niece... The best I understand- all of her tests came back normal and she is doing well. There are NO heart, brain, or lung issues. THIS IS A PRAISE THE LORD!!! It seems she has Reflexive Atonic Seizures. This is when the Vagus Nerve is over-sensitive and after a small trigger (a bump, surprise, etc.) it becomes so engrossed in the trigger it forgets to perform its other responsibilities, which include breathing, heartbeat, digestion, blinking, etc. So, the small fall over triggered the nerve and she stopped breathing. This is still VERY serious and scary. My sister and brother-in-law had to take a CPR course at Children's and learn rescue breathing. The good news is they can give her a hormone to calm the nerve down and she will most likely grow out of this. The bad news is that it is a rare condition and few doctors know how to treat it. Please pray that God places the right physicians in Ava's life to deal with this and that there are NO more episodes!!Again, thank you all sooooo much!!With love,Leigh
